Just back from Walsall parkrun. I've decided to avoid taking part in Sutton Park parkrun until after the Royal Parks Half.
It was great to see Hayley Carruthers getting introduced to everyone at the start, and getting the recognition she deserves after her performance at the GNR. I think she's definitely one to watch.
Walsall parkrun is getting busier and busier. There were a couple of near misses with dogs and pushchairs. Starting too far back today actually did me a favour. I wasn't able to set out at my usual, slightly too ambitious pace so ran a more sensible 5k.
I'm still a long way off my sub 25 minute target.

Omg Lanark was tough! Both mentally and physically. I’ve done 30 different parkrun courses but I’m putting it up in the top 3 most challenging with Camperdown and Plean (which I strongly detested 😂)
Pollok was the first ever parkrun I did in Feb 2010 so will be heading there next weekend for their 500th event and then back again end of October for my 150th parkrun.

At Penrose this morning. A fast out and back course with lovely views over the lake. And my best WAVA in four years
