Not sure how tbh. All the speedy V45s must have gone elsewhere....

I accidentally announced today that the course was 3 laps when doing the pre run briefing (it's 2 laps) - got lots of gasps & shocked looks - I'm always uncertain people can hear me at the briefing so was actually pleased that people can hear me! I quickly corrected myself to everyone's relief!

Thanks!

It was returning from the lake after the second lap. Where you turn left and immediately left. There was a marshal but only indicating the first left. I missed the second left and went straight. Ahead I could see the people at the start of the home straight which disorientated me for a second. I turned back and cut across the grass. Garmin says it was 0.02 long so no big deal.

I frequently come first in my age group at parkruns. This is invariably because I am the only one running in my age group.

I have a solid win number and god knows how many AG wins. Sometimes though it is just fun to run round. Yesterday I paced one of my guys round so was very amused to have been 1st in my AG :¬) My friend was 2nd :¬)

Unlikely though this is, I have finished first. Something I would have confidently predicted would never happen.

The trick is to turn up to a small parkrun in very bad weather.

There is hope for us all. :)
