Normal home parkrun - usually whatever I fancy depending on weather
Home parkrun the week after a 'shirted' race - wear the race shirt and see how many others are in theirs too
Special home parkrun - anniversaries, friends hitting milestones, anything like that, the '100' top comes out
Tourist parkrun - apricot top and the cow cowl

I don't think I've ever worn my club vest for parkrun, but I haven't given it too much of a thought when others have. Straining my thoughts, I think there are usually a smattering of local club tops on an average Saturday, but also plenty from local clubs in other tops.

It would be odd to see The Saint run at parkrun or any other running 'event' in anything other than his club vest.

Knowing Saint its not that he is 'touchy' about the subject - more amusedly bewildered by people who run flat out, eyes bulging, sinews straining, to then turn round and insist quite vehemently "of course, its not really a race".

Has anyone run Shorne Woods?

I'm down in Kent in a couple of weeks and I want to run park with the boy. He likes a course with something interesting.

He claims he likes bridges best (so I was going to run Maidstone with him, it's a mile from where we're staying, that has one small and one large bridge crossed twice and a view of a castle), but there's always the possibility of ticking off another one as a tourist. Malling won't work for him (and I've done that before), so I was wondering what Shorne Woods is like.

You should take him to Huddersfield. There's a bridge that you go over *and* under! Twice!!

I got Foxy's point, I wasn't clear enough in what I said that I wasn't taking issue with what he said.
If I wanted to do a casual 5KM jog, I wouldn't get up early on a Saturday morning, drive 5 miles, hang around until everyone is ready then start, I'd get up two hours later and step outside my house.

my point exactly if looks like a race, has results like a race it's a duck ;)

I have 20 plus DFL's at parkrun (excluding tailrunners, I have never been a tailrunner) I have one win - you can only win if it's a race - LOL !!

i have a 50 parkrun shirt still in a bag (adidas !!), I've now done 99 - LOL !!

Only time I've ever worn club kit was for championship races which we've done at parkrun. I even got told off !!! For not wearing exactly the right top I won't tell you what my response was
