I went and had a look and it just seems to be one silly person on Farcebook at least! I had this vision of it being like an autism advocacy group or something! 😆 Thankfully not. Torbay getting mixed praise and condemnation for choosing to go ahead anyway.

Our local parkrun posted last night that they were planning to go ahead. They did and someone replied afterwards that it would have been polite to post at 8am to confirm it was on. I think they were probably a little busy coping with a slightly smaller roster than normal.

The cafe queue was much quicker than normal, which was handy as I needed a couple of drinks to warm up.

I honestly think people are becoming so entitled. It’s a fecking free run. Either go or don’t go. Volunteers have lives too and possibly families they have to get ready in a morning too.

Way too entitled. I wouldn't want to be a RD making the call today. Dammed if you do and dammed if you don't.

I’m was a volunteer today and loved it. Yes it was raining, yes it was windy. But 60 hardy buggers came out and made the most of it and I was thanked by everyone of them and it made it worthwhile. 👏👏👏

Anyway did we move off the subject of cake here because is was too miserable for post-parkrun activity?

Where is the warmest cafe.

Still managed a fruit scone and tea afterwards. Not much choice in the cake department at the cafe today

We were too soggy to stay for cake today, sad face. But came back to our pod for bacon rolls and hot tub. A decent second.
