Anyone who's worn contact lens for a period of time will know your eyes aren't as sensitive as you thought. I'd rather have a needle in one than drive to the dentist
I think it’s more the idea of getting jabbed in eye that makes you squirm.

The idea of jabs in the eye makes me a little squirmy but I know that, if appropriately trained, I'd have no difficulty actually doing it. (See also: Watching operations on television.)

I have been unable to ever wear contact lenses. Tried three times and wasn’t possible. Yes just to sensitive.
Bad eyesight is in my family. My grandfather was registered blind when not much older than I am now. More on this later.
My aunt has is similar to her dad and Needs regular eye injections for reasons I am too squeamish to enquire about.
I promised more. My grandmother on e told my cousin and I to ask our grandfather what he had done with the blind club he was part of. They had gone on a sightseeing tour.

Strange what gets you. When I was a student in Cardiff I had long summer jobs as an Operating Department Orderly. Eye operations were the nicest and cleanest to watch. One got used to things, and a spina bifida op including lots of drilling, and amputations were no problem. The ones that made me squirm were a day theatre operation to remove an ingrowing toe nail, and varicose strips.
