That picture's being used as an example on the BBC News website of the lack of social distancing at Lincolnshire seaside resorts

A whole part of the country I've never been to. Except for Boston, to run a marathon. Loving the 1973 fashion
I need to find a CD-ROM drive to have a rake through my old photos.

Growing up (as one of 4 kids) we had a week every year at "Jinglebells". I always remember it being the first week of June. Initially it was a caravan, then a chalet on Whitehaven (i think?) near the village. We then progressed to renting the downstairs of a house on Whitestacks, about 50 yards further down. No Fantasy island, nothing really for half a mile between the village and the cross roads towards the beach. There was a small plot near the beach with slides and a go kart track, that was the highlight of the entertainment. Evenings spent in childrens room in "The Ace of Clubs"? near the church or a walk up to "The Moors Club"? near Butlins, which had a giant scalextric track in the basement. I remember when the Eastgate Bar was built (on what is now part of Fantasy Isand) and offered childrens entertainment and a show bar with acts like Cannon and Ball, we thought it was turning into Las Vegas. I took mini Nico for a day a few years ago, barely recognizable.

We had a tent and went to The Gower, The Malverns, The Lake District and various bits of Derbyshire and Devon. The tent and stuff would be packed into a trailer and ready to go and dad would decide where we were going based on the weather forecast. More than once we'd be heading to one area and end up somewhere completely different
