Getting out of them never seems to be too much of a problem once you've 'flushed' them, it's the getting in that I struggle with!

So, I couldn't get it off!!! Luckily people on hand to help, it did feel a slightly more comfortable swim in a temp of 15 degrees but its not really cold yet to "feel the benefit".

I've ordered the same one as D2, but it won't be here til next week (and I won't be at the seaside before it comes anyway), but I'm curious to know what the problem was with getting it off, D? Did you use Bodyglide or anything similar before you put it on? I had trouble getting my full wetsuit off the first time I put it on, but that was on a hot day and I'd tried it on in my bedroom - I had visions of OH coming home from work to find me expired from heat exhaustion encased in neoprene |

D2metres apart air hug 4 Christmas
I undid the front zip but couldn't get either of my arms out, the life guard on duty who helped me said its impossible to take this style off yourself, she pulled the top down over my shoulders from behind until i was able to take my arms out. However, I did manage to take it off at home when I first tried it on so I think it was that I couldn't withdrawn my arm from the sleeve because it was stuck. When its dried off tomorrow I'm going to have another try at home.... mainly because i wont be beaten!!!!!!!!! |

I shall make sure OH is at home the first time I try mine on - and luckily any sea swimming happens 500m from home so I can pop my dryrobe (Swimzi) on over the top and go home in it - I've found in the past that taking my full wetsuit off in the shower helps, so if need be I'll do that if he's not around. I shall report back!

I posted this over on the "How was your swim today?" thread, and Oranj suggested here was as good (if not better) a place for the question! Sorry to barge in as a non-swimmer, but I had a moment of inspiration for my wife who gets very cold on beaches after swimming, combined with a dearth of good Christmas ideas, that a DryRobe would be a good idea for her. Thanks in advance for any hints and tips! |

I love mine, Larks, but I do suspect there are better value options available. I think Sam paid about £90 for a basic towelling only version? Wiggle has a whole category for them, with most looking to be less dear than the dry robe brand equivalent. Zone 3, for example, in general do great quality kit, though I've not tried their polar fleece parka changing robe personally. |

I have a Swimzi decathlon.co.uk (that link looks weird, hope it works) Mine's about 6 years old and I didn't pay anything like as much, I'm a bit gobsmacked at the price! It's absolutely fine, has useful pockets both inside and out, and is very capacious if I wanted to change under it. It's probably not as trendy as Dryrobe though! |
