Sad to report that I was DNF due to cramp in my calves :-( Think I may need to alter my wetsuit as it's just too tight round my lower legs. A real shame as it was a lovely event.

I'll blog about it when I'm home.

I'm fine, just a bit annoyed. The water safety people were brilliant and I got carried back in a dinghy :-)

Gave in to temptation and bought a wetsuit - according to the sizing chart it’s the right size, but it’s *very* tight. That’s right, yes? Feels better if I lie on the bed, and flapping my arms around to imitate crawl seems okay, but I did need help to get it zipped up (and unzipped).

Definitely thinking tri-thoughts again - it’s taken five years.

I've found my wetsuit has "given" a bit now I will worn it a few times regularly. Particularly round the shoulders.

It was an ex-hire one and I don't think it had been used more than twice.

But yes, mine is also quite tight and I struggle to zip it up on my own.

I think mine is probably less tight than is recommended but I found the next size down just too frustrating to get into. Regret it slightly because mine has given a bit and I lost a little weight/changed shape a bit with all the training so the smaller may have been ok. Having said that I haven’t been aware of any issue with having the bigger size and I can zip myself in.

I’ve damaged the back of mine by gripping both sides of zip to pull it up myself, need a zipper upper now. Doesn’t help that I’ve changed shape the opposite way + 3 kilos 😂

Sorry Nemo, last thing I expected to happen, cramp :-( hope you can resolve it.
