Nice one Andy D - think that must have been a decent PB then, wasn't clock bloke around 3:15? Andy's previous PB was 3:40! Well done Andy D of Dunblane and FERC! :-) G

Hi no PB unfortunately. I finished in 3:42:41, PB was on the cards for the first 19 miles but on going injury issues meant I slowed up. Completely missed the Fetch point. My first London marathon, atmosphere was fantastic. Ballot entered for next year, 5 failed ballot attempts so far. This year I had the Dunblane Runners club place.

a bit late in posting this i know, but while cheering on my brother in law at Cutty Sark i saw Mick n Phil pass. I saw my BIL again at Mudchute and at Big Ben but didn't see M&P at either place

anyone else see them/know if they finished?

thanks Rosehip. i had thought someone would have mentioned it if they had passed. hope they're ok.

there was a story a couple of days before the race where a couple had been 'banned' from pushing their wheelchair son in the LM, despite having completed mulitple marathons previously. it reminded me of M&P - am i right in thinking they were allowed to take part in LM a couple of years ago? (though i also have it in the back of my mind that Mick has been known to just join in a race on occasions!?!)

Do Mick & Phil take part officially though? I think they just join in for a few miles now. I was off at the first start, 10:10, and we didn't pass them until about mile 4, so they would've had to start before the gun to get there.

Mick and Phil are not allowed to enter so jump in early on. Officially To be honest I don’t think they should as they do create a hazard for runners and when I passed them they were in the middle of the road at narrow point and going much slower than those that were approaching from behind. And that’s probably why vlm don’t allow them to enter.
