I began my training last month with a couple of runs on part of the course as part of our holiday whilst the 50/100 was on. I had a belting couple of hours out doing Ambleside to the finish on the last full morning of the holiday.

There was another criteria last year, something like completing an event over 50 miles in mountain terrain in the allowed time.

My completion of the Ultimate Trails 110k qualified me, but apparently wouldn't this year. Unless I submitted my time at a checkpoint over 50 miles and under 16 hours. Possibly?

LDWA 100 entry requires a 50 mile event finish - I’ve always thought it a very sensible approach

I thought a 50 mile split time might work for qualifying too .. but decided against it anyway. Really fancy Glencoe Skyline next year and don’t think I’ll recover well enough from the 100 to risk it.
Good luck on the 1st for anyone entering

I should probably stop now, especially since I don't want to do the event and qualify on the new criteria anyway, but what I was trying to say was...
They currently ask for a sub 16 LL50, or a sub 16 LL50 equivalent, or an LL100 finish.
Previously entry requirements were a sub 16 LL50 or LL50 equivalent, or an LL100 finish, OR a finish in a suitably mountainous event of more than 50 miles.
Which seems a bit odd.

Isn’t that kind of in-breeding?

I hope they apply common sense otherwise I won't qualify
I'm going to have to get my race portfolio up-to-date so I have a clue what to put down!
