Go for it tOR. All you've got to lose is a bit of time, and maybe your lunch. For the rowing an extra few lbs isn't going to cause you any problems.

Ha, that’s nothing. I’d have to lose 31 :-O

Seriously, I think the last time I was 75kg was when I was 14.

I’ve got 11 kg. .. I rowed most of my competitive erg stuff as a light weight. .. but last one was in 2011 .. 6:55.7 seems like s lifetime ago. I still reckon I can better that with some intelligent training.

I'm not bothered about separating out the sexes, it's not done anywhere else - and I'll still be down the bottom. ;-)

How can that be? You need to do a 2k time trial to give yourself something to work on Lesley. :)

Thanks for asking the question about separating the table into male and female, Muttley.

I thought I might be bothered by this, as I used to get really frustrated with my old running club when they insisted on giving awards for best time rather than best age graded, so women would be very unlikely to win any of them.

But it turns out I'm not! We can always log our times on the C2 website if we want gender, weight and age group rankings, and I like the fact that we've just got one league here so it's clear to see whose time to aim for next. (Though in my case I've got to make a very big improvement to get anywhere near your time, Muttley!)

I'm not concerned about separating it out. I log my metres on Concept2 as well, which tells me which percentile I'm in for my category, so I go by that.

I have done a couple of time trials, seem to finish with the same time 10.20 roughly. I am going to work on that, start of January I think.
