Angus. I know you know it BUT don’t worry about always beating previous. It’s all metres in the bank. If the process is right the results come.

.... but it isn’t all metres in the bank. Muttley, there is a fine line between building endurance or rowing a lot of metres in the “dead zone”

Nice late morning 10km Nellers. ( I was up and gone by 4am) 🙂

MT. your L3 is quite a bit ahead of mine. AS are your daily totals !! 😎

Good warm up. Tried to keep the stroke over 30. A month of only L4 hasn’t lent enough faster stroke practice.

I’d decided to give it a month to see if I got the bug back. I’ve got the bug back. 1 year to BRIC, aiming for a sub 7 in 50+ Lightweights. Cmon !!

Very nice, Jef. That's a great result after a month of only L4 work.

Go for it Jef!

I was struck by the slow stroke rate that the GB rowers used when warming up (compared to their peak of 40spm in the 2K!)

40spm is insane. I can’t comprehend pulling that quickly.

40spm?! I thought that kind of stroke rate was reserved for the shorter sprints. My coordination goes as soon as I get over about 34s/m.

How slow is slow during the warm-up?

I agree, Mousey. I tend to have quite a high s/r but the "power" (it's all relative!) wanes as the s/r increases. I don't want to imagine the lactic they must have been feeling at the end.
