Nicely done Nellers... and wisely done too. It’s ok to stretch a plan a little but well worth remembering that recovery for the next session is also v/important.

I'm already jiggling things about at the weekend Jef. Long steady tomorrow after taking Mrs Nellers shopping in the morning, then weights after lunch, then drive to Stratford to fetch my rower fromteh Velodrome after BRIC finishes. Sunday is then a 45 minute steady in the morning which should give me plenty of recovery time before the 2km time trail on Monday.

Then Tuesday is a rest day.

You can add them to the gallery and link them to the thread so i’ll Post some up of The Shed tomorrow once the erg is in and everything is sorted and tidied.

I checked on the invoice and it is one of the faster black ones.😉

Angus - nice improvement!

tOR - I'm experimenting with podcasts at the moment, as Nellers suggested. It worked quite well yesterday during my intervals session but the test will be tomorrow on the longer steady row. I also liked the suggestion of breaking up the longer pieces into sections, so might try that once I'm a bit further into the plan.

Jef - is EIRC beginner-friendly? I quite like the idea of working towards an event but don't want to find myself way off the back of the pack.

Nellers - we definitely need photos!

CW - Kermode and Mayo and No Such THing As A Fish kept me company through my 80 minutes steady this morning. Podcasts are definitely the way to go.

Strange feeling today as it was (probably) the last time I'll go and row at the local gym Ive been using. Probably the last time I'll go there at all in fact. My sons have got a good little weights set-up in The Shed already, there's a treadmill, there's room for my bike on a turbotrainer and the Concept2 (already dubbed "Twoey" for reasons that I won't go in to here) will be set up ready for the morning.

Gym membership cancelled and off we go into the next chapter.

Nellers, there are definitely some fast machines there. Will 5:45.5 for 2K suit you?

Well I'm too knackered from the row earlier to give the weights a proper go this afternoon. I'm going to see how I feel when I get back from Stratford this evening and I might do it then.

Loads of podcasts out there on all sorts of topics (and some on no topic at all and still a great listen).
