Yes we have a garden and I'd love to have something long lasting and nature related, but we planted a cherry tree when we moved here and we plan to do the garden properly next year. I might ask the lady we're going to get to do it to suggest places for vouchers. I'd love a beautiful acer to remind me of our trips to Japan

lol Pix and great idea. I got some lovely garden ‘ornaments’
My friend got me a notch keyring and you can add notches for anything I dare say including travel (you can make your own) and with your challenges overseas great memories.

We have what we thought to be an Acer but turned out to be a Black Lace Elderberry. Much hardier and we even got some berries this year.
Sshh! Garden ornaments are a touchy subject here as I have just ordered yet another and not told him yet!! Since OH retired we have been doing over the garden which has been sadly neglected since ever we moved in over 20 years ago

Your secret is safe here DQ
Mine are mostly flamingoes as once people know you like them… solar lights (enough to create a landing strip) and some nice plant pots …. Still awaiting plants!

It's solar ones I'm attracted to also but it will be interesting to see how they fare during our long dark winter days. Thus one glows nicely under the elderberry bush.
