Just to add I’m not skint we are very fortunate to both have good jobs we’re just trying to save more and be more sensible giving increases in some areas - with Xmas coming & a coupe of weekends away I need to by less running kit.
And I have lots of things I could sell rather than have them cluttering up the house. I need to be more minimalist!

I know just how you feel gg! I’m booking a couple of races and contemplating some heated motorcycle gloves and the cost of my lessons is extortionate, they’ve just phoned to book me 4 more, and I’ve just started a new job so I really shouldn’t stress about it all!
Just done 10k in the sturdies! All good so far! Might run a marathon in them Sunday!

I am on a self imposed shopping hold - I can afford it but 1) must lose weight 2) I have loads of kit! 3) we'll be on 1 income for 6mths after Christmas which is absolutely fine as we can totally afford it but paranoia head says don't spend!

I’m getting pressured to give people ideas for my (nice round number) birthday in November but I don’t need new kit, would like to lose some weight before I buy new stuff, and the people who want to give me a gift will be thinking something more permanent.

I'm justifying my spend as most of kit was used for running and I'm finding my t-shirts, capris and leggings too warm for gym sessions.

Have you got a garden? Have you thought about a tree or a rose for your special birthday! My big sister talked about getting me a rose for my 50th, actually come to think of it I didn’t even get a present 😂
