You should do some hill hiking training rather than hill running. The hills are monsters and walking is a much better option, it saves your legs and uses different muscles - really useful tactic if you are not super-fast. You WILL need to walk during the race, so it is a good idea to have trained your walking muscles, rather than just using them on the day
