I don't filter anything. But I only read or contribute to the ones I like. I think we've got all the tools we need but... then you invented all the tools we do have, so I'd just trust your judgement.
1. Can we have a better (even betterer!?) seach please. Google search for threads, blogs, training notes, training comments, with date ranges, Boolean combos etc. 2. Can we have access to all threads going back forever, even if you can't comment on them any more? An archive, if you will? Thanks, lots of love,
The secret to great data services is: a. ease of input b. ease of retrieval (filter carp; find good)

I am a contributor to the "Let's count to a million" and quite enjoying it. On the current rate, it will take (at least!) 20 years, as Badger has identified. (On another website, I am a contributor to a "chain" thread that has been running since September 2009, so wouldn't rule out the possibility of getting there!)
I must say that I can understand the annoyance of fetchies who are facing the prospect of it being on the front page throughout that time! Happy for it to be visible to a subset, but a little disconcerted that it may only be seen by those who already know of its existence.
It's never occurred to me to complain about "Who are all the single fetchies?", which is always on the front page. Live and let live!

I think the idea is to chose what threads you hide yourself, rather than a majority view hiding threads from everyone who isn't posting on them.

As Badger says, it would enable individuals to remove unwanted threads, rather than something that would impact another users view of the forum.

I love the foolish optimism of the "Count to a Million" thread (and the fact that it's beating its rival hands-down :-)).
Now, who's getting hitched?

Oh, and every day's a school day. I thought a Boolean combo was something you ordered off the grill in an Argentinian restaurant.
