stuart little
The national league is liking more and more like it's 1 from 4 (York, Barnet, Oldham and FGR) for automatic promotion this season. More importantly just 2 wins from safety for York after today's 6-2 win |

It's certainly tight there stuart, the lead seems to change every week. Watching the Copa Libertadores at the moment, a red card after 2 minutes but it's not stopped the 10 men as they are 2 - 0 up! |

Heading off to Portman Road soon for Ipswich v Palace, hoping the drive back isn't going to be too miserable. Predictions: Lots of time sitting in traffic, probably desperately needing a wee, Ipswich win 1-0 with a goal in injury time. Delays and diversions on the way home due to overnight roadworks. I will vow not to go to another game again. |

Hopefully, you'll get there OK, Dio. I remember passing Portman Road thanks to a traffic diversion a few years' ago which wasn't that enjoyable. I'll be watching it on Amazon Prime. At least I can switch it off if necessary rather than ensure 90 minutes plus a journey home. |

FA Cup draw: Arsenal - United Spurs drawn at 5,000 capacity stadium The Lambs Ground. What chance by next season, after scrapping all replays, there'll be no all Premier League ties before the fifth round and no Premier League teams needing to play at sub-minimum grounds? |

Absolutely. Or seed all the Premier League teams so they avoid each other and get home ties thus giving all the smaller clubs a big gate receipt pay day. The competition is getting devalued every year thanks to Arsene Wenger, UEFA and FIFA wanting bigger and more extensive competitions. Give the tops clubs a choice. Play in the FA Cup, replays and all even if it means fielding a weakened side, or don't participate at all. |

Yes, this season really felt devalued to me. I know people who say the First Round and Second Round are the best two rounds. But at least, the likes of Salford, Morecambe, Bromley, Harrogate Town, Accrington, and a few others, got a plum third round draw. |

Hertford Tiger
Tonight Hertford Town under 18s play Arsenal under 18s in the third round of the FA youth cup. It appears to be a similar formula to the adult competition where the big clubs academies enter in round three. HT got here by beating Bristol Rovers in round 2. It has caught the towns attention as over 1000 tickets have be sold. I’ve been watching the men’s team for 25 years and the usual crowd is 300. |
