I expected it a week ago before the semi final Pedro but had thought the way Hibs got back into the game on saturday had bought maloney some time and to at least save us from getting drawn into a relegation battle.
Its been clear to me for some time (January against Cove in the cup) that Maloney was taking Hibs backwards although I accept he has had a bad injury list and we sold the star player.
There had been pretty much nothing positive to think there was anything better around the corner
1st goal on saturday was all down to the way maloney plays and we give the ball away cheaply and in a dangerous position. Then poorly defend a free kick and its two nil. Granted both good strikes, but very much both could be avoided.
Some serious question now asked about our CEO and owner who sacked Ross prematurely and appointed a rookie then didnt support him properly in the transfer market (Owners son is our head of recruitment !)
Hibs are a bit of a mess right now and I am not sure Juergen Klopp could sort us out
Welcome back SurelyNot

Lol, but yeah not sure that Klopp would do you any good, need more like a Dick Campbell type character to grab the club by the scruff of the neck and give it a good shake. Be interesting to see who you go for next, I'm guessing you'll all be hoping they take time and get it right this time.

yep, it is an important appointment now and I am not sure who they go for.
Every appointment is a risk and that was why I wasnt keen on Ross being fired after a poor run of form as you never quite know if the next man will be an improvement. However it was clear from early on that maloney was in trouble, although he did inherit a squad with limitations, had an awful injury list and found his best player sold.
However his player recruitment was questionable as were those he allowed to go
I didnt think McInnes would have been a good appointment or Goodwin, but both are employed elsewhere now. Would bite your hand off for either right now. As it is lennon returning along with Brown is rumoured, but given the lead up to lennon leaving before thats a risk.

Class act, Liverpool, for that applause in the 7th minute and rendition of you'll never walk alone.

Do any of the United players actually care? I watched a few minutes and it was so poor I switched it off.

Agree Oscar. I usually mute it when they sing that but was a nice touch.
And also agree OverTheHillToo. They have no love or respect for the club it seems. I was fully anticipating the scoreline being even worse. It’s painful to watch.

This result was all too predictable, as I predicted.
