The most ridiculous thing about the whole scenario is that money from ill gotten gains has been allowed to flush through a high profile British company. It’s like everyone has only just realised it’s dodgy.

I remember when Abramovich originally took over Chelsea. That very night I remember someone making the joke that "Chelsea haven't got themselves a Fairy Godfather. They've just got themselves a Godfather."

We knew from day one that he was a gangster and he was sports-washing at best, money laundering at worst. It's just a shame it's taken an actual shooting war to make anyone do anything about it.
