My goal is more about feeling better and knowing I'm eating better, any weight loss will be a nice side effect. I have a tendency to focus too much on the numbers on the scale and its not healthy for my head.

Hello FJ! :)

Well, my plan to stick to a limit this weekend to make my average calories per day a reasonable number has failed. Today wasn't too bad but I was very very hungry yesterday and ate six packets of crisps, three mince pies, chocolate and an entire large Pizza Hut pizza... by myself :-o
And then wonder why I'm putting on weight instead of losing it! Idiot!

I have had a weekend of eating anything and everything! probably making up for not feeling like indulging over Christmas/New Year.

I have been saintly. The Co op was selling off tubs of Quality Street cheap so I bought 2 (well, you have to when it's a bargain....) but I'm putting them away for later in the year - next Christmas if they last that long ;).
Mr GM didn't have the same control that I had and scoffed a few :)

That's impressive GM :) There's a box of chocolates left over from Christmas. I have made Mr Carp put them on top of the tallest bookcase so I can't reach them!

No chocolates here, but 9/10th of a Christmas cake and a whole pudding are tempting me - as is the passionfruit curd and plum bread that fell into my basket when I took daughter shopping at the posh food hall yesterday! :(

I’m quite lucky that chocolate doesn’t bother me.... it wasn’t always like this I once swear I had a chocolate addiction and when I drove to the all night garage at 3 in the morning for chocolate (this was the late 80’s and quite unusual) I discovered later that as long as it’s close to have I’m ok if it’s not there I want it.

I have literally had 2 chocolates all Xmas and getting less bothered by it. Mind you wine & crisps are a different matter.
