BB, I just did a quick analysis of the times people hope to run on Saturday, and the groups that would make it most evenly spread would be as follows:
Race 1: <5:59 Race 2: 6:00 - 7:29 Race 3: 7:30 - 8:29 Race 4: >8:30

Damn. It doesn't like those less than and greater than signs. These are the "speed bands" that would make sense based on current predicted times:
Race 1: Quicker than 5:59 Race 2: 6:00-7:29 Race 3: 7:30-8:29 Race 4: Slower than 8:30
