I have deaf colleague and she mentioned the see-through masks which were not that well known of a few months back. I did not think they would work as they would either build up condensation or need to have perforations which defeat their purpose altogether. Thankfully, she is a fantastic lip reader as my 200+ words of Makaton is quite limited!

Probably doesn’t make a lot of difference in terms of COVID when you’re running outside, unless you’re running alongside somebody for a while - the droplets disperse too quickly outside for there to be much infection risk. If Galen Rupp can run a 60 minute half marathon wearing a pollen filter mask, I don’t think it can be that much of a problem tbh.
