Cousteau will reach the first checkpoint at the end of 19th April!

Because it hasn't happened yet, all players have a gold star next to their names on the leaderboard. To retain your gold star, you need to beat Cousteau to the checkpoint i.e. you need to clock up 4.8 miles before the end of 19th April.

I have added the dates to all the other checkpoints too. Good luck!

Sushi.
This sign has been up since the pool opened about 15yrs ago. The changing rooms are a mixed..
It's inappropriateness makes me smile everything I walk in. Someone with a dark sense of humour has to have chosen the wording.

Fortunately said 'area' is very open so couldn't be used for the suggested activity

My apologies, The Mussile, very remiss of me! Though in my defence I was a bit distracted by Sushi tearing down the Thames like a torpedo behind me!

I'm very fortunate that my pool's timetable is allowing me a decent amount of lane swimming over the holidays.

A torpedo? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I managed to consistently tumble turn at one end of the pool for the whole swim this morning. Getting timing and breathing back. So much quick and more energy efficient than a 'grab and go' or 'touch turn'

I do love my OWS but so pleased the challenge has reminded me I love pool swims too.

Goofee
My swimming consultant (also known as my daughter) asked if I was interested in learning to tumble turn. As I'm training in order to swim up and down a Welsh lake in a couple of month's time I didn't think it was a skill worth learning, so I continue to turn with all the speed and grace of a super-tanker. :-)

The relentless up and down does feel like it's getting me somewhere now, though, I'm able to put in a sustained faster period between the long leisurely warm-up and the cool down without having to think about breathing and stroke execution, which is progress.

Sushi.
That's great Goofee.

Which Welsh lake? There's a fair few for me to choose from here in N Wales
