Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Kong don't have my size in stock :( but they'll all be going cheap in a few weeks :)

Looking at the photos of the new wonder shoe, it looks like it's putting x-talon studs on the contoured sole of a mud claw. It might be a nice combination, if they don't rip off and the uppers don't fall apart.

Re. the MudTalon that was announced yesterday, word is (and this is from a former employee) that this new shoe is going to replace both the X-Talon and Mudclaw, hence the name. I thought this was madness, as surely the X-Talon 212 is their longest-standing model and a bestseller? Apparently not, sales are very regional and Inov8 are seeking to slim down their range. This new shoe had better be a good one, that's all I can say .... but whether it will cater for wide feet I have no idea, if you read the rebranding blurb it suggests that they're going for a "contouring fit", that sounds like normal width only to me. I might be stocking up on 255s if this is the case, mind you I'm not having much luck with those either, I took a brand new pair up to Arran a few weeks back and ripped/damaged several studs :-( I am considering having them resoled already in one of those new Vibram patterns.

I don't fully like the sound of that.

I like my Mudclaws but I use them sparingly and would have no intention of using them for something long where I want something comfier. The X-Talon (in I think the 3 guises suggested above) have all been about my favourite trail running shoe, especially for long but they're grippy, I get plenty of miles out of them, and like a slipper.

Cue buying as many pairs as I can justify now!!!

I see Mudclaws on there for £65 too.

Sorry, I'm being stupid, how do you get 10% club discount?! I suddenly feel I've potentially wasted hundreds of pounds in missed discounts.

Most running clubs or sporting organisations (partic. those in Yorkshire) can affiliate to Sportsshoes.com and a monthly discount code is sent to a nominated person.

Paul, signup to this (you don't actually have to run 1000 miles ;-) )
livefortheoutdoors.com

and you get a 15% code that lasts for a year. You still have to pay £4.99 for postage though, whereas the club discount includes free postage ( which means £100 is the break even point ).
Other thing to note is that the club 10% discount only works on orders over £50, whereas the lfto 15% code works on all orders
