Kong had them on special offer for the latest colourway @ £65 so I thought I'd give them a go. Oddly, they are still selling the previous season's model for £125, figure that one out! Flanker - yes, I think you're spot on with the analysis there, they absolutely wrecked my feet when I did the CT in them, mind you it was a blindingly hot day and that might have been a factor. Re. the MudTalon that was announced yesterday, word is (and this is from a former employee) that this new shoe is going to replace both the X-Talon and Mudclaw, hence the name. I thought this was madness, as surely the X-Talon 212 is their longest-standing model and a bestseller? Apparently not, sales are very regional and Inov8 are seeking to slim down their range. This new shoe had better be a good one, that's all I can say .... but whether it will cater for wide feet I have no idea, if you read the rebranding blurb it suggests that they're going for a "contouring fit", that sounds like normal width only to me. I might be stocking up on 255s if this is the case, mind you I'm not having much luck with those either, I took a brand new pair up to Arran a few weeks back and ripped/damaged several studs I am considering having them resoled already in one of those new Vibram patterns.
