We went LWB mainly because it’s easier with the dog with the bed out. We still find it fine to drive, park etc.

Quick question for all who have travelled Scotland/live there etc.

What's the situation like with midges and bugs in September

Looks like out travel plans this year may be changing - was doing Luxembourg/Black Forest and France in June but OH wants to do Dordogne area instead (we were going there September) so thinking of doing Lakes/Scotland/Northumberland September instead

You should be beyond the worst of midge season by September. It’s a good time of year to come.

We’ve just returned from a week away in Devon with our motorhome. I’d forgotten how much nicer it is to drive than my car. The view from the cab is much better and we see so many more sights from that higher position.

It was also nice, as we were on a pitch with electric to have our heating (electric powered) on at our preferred temperature and not have to consider the cost as we might when at home.

We have a long weekend coming up and said we’d go to the Lakes for some walking and photography, but haven’t made any progress with plans.

Any suggestions for nice low-key sites for our VW Campervan. We don’t even need hook up, but a toilet is handy.

My wife just took our campervan to the gym just for a wee tick over run, she had to come back though because the cat had sneaked in.

LOL Ally.
We've had a couple of weekends away in the motorhome and managed some parkrun tourism too.
Doing some vague planning for 4 weeks in France in May. Won't book anything, certainly this far in advance, as we'll see where the mood and the weather takes us. Newhaven to Dieppe crossing booked, and plan to drop down to the Loire and across to Nantes. Getting quite excited.

We’ve week in Ireland sorted plus a few days Scarborough & York to see Pulp and a Parkrun.

There will be more Parkrun tourism too, enjoyed Newbiggin-by-the-sea the other week.

We have lots booked but not until May onwards. Hoping to get away in April too but nothing booked.

Too busy decorating this month 🙄
