Swallows not made it back to their usual spot here, and no cuckoo yet either.
Blackcap and lots of chiffs this morning though :)

No willow warblers or swallows on my ride, alas. Oodles of loud, confident blackcaps, though, and the woods were all a-chiff.

I've also seen reports of swallow at Hartlepool, and 55 sand martins in County Durham.

Singing willow warbler at lunchtime :-) Almost worth our pesky vizsla rolling in something unspeakable just afterwards :-(

2 egrets chasing away a barnacle goose.
Curlews, seen and heard.
Cuckoo! Heard, not seen.
Barnacle geese grazing, about 25 of them.
Song thrushes, mistle thrush and blackbirds.
Bluetits nest building in a hole in the carport at my sister's.
