It's now an 'academy' whatever one of those is and was a grammar school *before* I got to it. Here's what wikipedia says though. I knew about JL Carr and Henry Moore Bombardier Craig Hopson, of the 40th Regiment Royal Artillery, killed in Afghanistan on 25 July 2009 whilst travelling in a Jackal (MWMIK) Tim Bresnan, English and Yorkshire Cricket player from 1995–2001 Colson Smith (actor) Nigel Beard, Labour MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford from 1997–2005 J.L. Carr, school teacher, novelist and publisher, from about 1925-1930 John Durham, Ambassador to Mongolia from 1997–99 Henry Moore OM CH, sculptor Alan Rhodes, rugby league footballer who played in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, and coached in the 1980s Denzil Webster, cricketer of the 1940s through to the 1970s, and rugby union, and professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1950s |

Someone will be along in a min who went to Eton or Harrow and they'll be able to name a dozen prime ministers and presidents.
