Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

OH and I have both tested negative. Still not had Fil's results but he seems fine and thankfully his uti is improving with the penicillin.

That's a relief, DJ.

Nothing major to report on mum. I'm sure she is declining but because I see her 6 days a week it app.ears glacially slow. It's only when looking back a week or two that you realise that she's now not able to walk unaided, she can't stand from seated.

She has had her first vaccination though and doesn't seem to have had an adverse reaction.

Fil's test was negative too, thank goodness!

It sounds really difficult for you all XB but I'm pleased your mum's vaccination went well.

After a couple of easy days she woke up yesterday quite a bit worse. Very weak and tired.

I left for the first time with the thought that I may not see her again.

But then she might bounce back. There are no rules.

I thought I'd start a thread, as lots of us have elderly folks that we worry about/care for.

Also: After someone dies, if their home insurance was only in their name, sadly the cover becomes void. But if the policy was in joint names, it will still cover the surviving policyholder (though the names on the policy will need to be updated).

Pension Credit. The rules are a bit complex but if your elderly relative has some sort of disability (in this case dementia/Alzheimer's) and go into a home, they may be able to claim pension credit. So if carers allowance stops, it seems pension credit can start. It can also be backdated.
