Why is a gingerbread flavoured donut so much more appetising than donut flavoured gingerbread?
I’ll be honest: I’m a traditionalist, stuff it full of custard, maybe a chocolate glaze and I’m golden.

I'm now even more sad that there is no longer and M&S food in Amsterdam... I doubt htat the small range of M&S stuff the Belgian chain Delhaize had taken to stocking would stretch as far as yumnuts.

Had yesterday's remaining Jam Doughnut. 10s on high in the microwave perked it up a bit!

Chocolate orange donut from the local farm shop. Not quite as pleasing as it sounds, but it was a decent donut so, y'know, all good.

I only very occasionally eat doughnuts (and even then maybe only half of it).
My wife loves them however, and I used to take her on a late night trip to Krispy Kreme up here so she could get her favourite, hot off the line.
She has a think for cream-filled toffee doughnuts at the moment though (no sniggering at the back!)
