According to the genius that is Atherton, the key is for Cook and Root to not suddenly become rubbish. He also suggests that looking for a pair of decent spin bowlers is pointless because they are all, without exception, rubbish - so [I'm paraphrasing] we might as well stick with Ali and Rashid because it saves on air fare.
