Didn't Gower get pinged by the umpire for throwing in a test against NZ - he deliberately threw it when NZ needed a run to win.

Yes, I have a feeling it was Gilchrist. Dhoni was India captain for quite a long spell, which meant he got to bring himself on to bowl on several occasions.

I just googled Gower, so I know, he did throw a 4 to lose a game, Martin Crowe was batting then. I am happier about my 0% now.
