In my youth I played with a guy who was a left hand bat and right hand bowler. Confusingly he was a right handed golfer.

Not for left handers. You do need different clubs though.

I was teasing... I guess what I meant was that *I think* to take up the game you have normally to use right handed clubs as shop bought, they only come right handed (or did). I'm sure that's no longer the case in the internet age

I am a terrible left handed golfer. My one and only lesson his only bit of advice was why don’t you play right handed? Nobody plays left handed.

Gower was another, as is my son. I read a piece in one of the cricket magazines decades ago, arguing that what we call right-handed batting is actually left-handed, as if done properly the dominant hand should be the top hand, providing the skill element rather than the power. |
