You can't replace Cook but you do have to replicate his runs from somewhere across the top 6. Likewise the wickets (for bowlers) I guess.

The lesser players are often the better coaches as they have to think about it more and get the best out of their more limited talents. Broad will still be playing in his 50s. TV I would think, he's a bit more showy than cook and Amderson.

Plus we are all club players putting in our 'expert' opinions. There will always be someone to fill Andersons spot, we will always field an 11 but I'm with fozzy of course there is going to be a drop off in productivity for who ever does take his spot. The replacement for Cook is a good one. Don't think I've done a blog on that one. We have definitely kissed alot of frogs, not sure we have found our Prince yet.

I remember when I first noticed Broad (2006 T20 semi - I think the first game I can remember after The Unfortunate Event*) I was genuinely convinced he was going to break his own legs. That bowling action must have been very, very hard on the knees.
