The TMS podcast was all about Aggers and the replay commentary. Top fun.

don't even think ingerland will mess up from here. anything over 140/150 and they probably would have been in the soup. if sri lanka keep batting like a team the coach have threatened with an imminent firing squad after getting out, the rest of the series could be close. not really rating the visiting spin department (yet)

Rescuing defeat from the jaws of victory. England cricket team are reknown for this type of performance.

But isn't this all abit out of date? Not the plucky losers of the mid nighties but a good side with its weaknesses?

There's no monster test side right now. New Zealand are number 1 aren't they? I'd still fancy us against them in English conditions as I would almost any side in the world.
Plenty of visible flaws in all of the Test sides. We did seem to go uber aggressive in some instances and lack some of that old school cook stick around and grind.

i'd say india are only one opener away from being a beast of a test side when the first choice XI are fit (though i'd agree that they could come unstuck on some of the english early summer swinging decks)

The same Australia that is currently drawing a series at home against India's second XI? I don't think there's much to choose between the top 4 - NZ, India, Australia and us. We'll lose the series in India in Feb and then beat them at home in the summer.

Australia outside smith and labashane are weak in the batting line up.
Definitely a potential blog here.
I've done one on batting collapses not just being an English disease. But this ones interesting.
