Aus scored 189/9 in their 50 overs. WI need 34 off 44 with 2 wickets in hand. It was a different game back then.

Quite pleased Joe Root's missed out in the T20 squad to play Australia as it means more time with Yorkshire.
And only him and Adam Lyth seem to be able to score any runs currently....
Well Malan too, but he's off with England.

I definitely agree. He can bowl as well as Ashley Giles ever did and is as good a batsman as many who have had extended runs as batsmen only. And he has the knack of breaking partnerships

I think Moeen is (when he's got his head on) a very good batsman.
And despite his predisposition to bowl the odd pie, he does spin the ball and has the ability to pick up more wickets than perhaps he should.
I think England haven't quite worked out how to get the absolute best from Moeen on a consistent basis - he must have sat down with a sports psychologist (something I'd love to do btw) as they all do now and I'm surprised that they haven't quite worked him out, as that's where his problems lie (and that's not meant as a criticism - purely as an identification)

It's well documented that he saw himself as a batsman. England were mainly interested in him as a bowler that could bat though.
