My pessimistic guess is that we will be 50-5 at lunch.

England. And that’s the reason England will win the 2019 Ashes series

Well roger me with a gatepost. Love it when that happens. Switched TMS off in disgust, with the Aussies purring along with just 2 down, our bowling sounding ragged, Ashes retained.
Went for a bike ride, did club time trial then a swim. Got back and just checked the score....😀😀😀😀😀😀
Couple of quotes from Guardian OBO (been back through the day’s play).
‘That’s 8 Australian wickets down for 43 at Headingley - does that ring any bells?’
‘I can’t shake the thought that I am watching the early days of the best England bowler I will ever see’
Batsmen will fuck it up though, and poor Jeffrey won’t even get a full day’s rest before he’s bowling again...,

Question is TRO, was it your absence or mine which caused the wickets?

Well I thought that was fairly comfortable in the end. Amir’s a proper superstar.

Dunno Maccers, think we’ll both have to go AWOL next time the Aussies are purring along and we look like we couldn’t buy a wicket.
Anyway roll up roll up - cracking batting collapse by the Aussies yesterday, but the Big Dogs, the daddies, the true masters of the good old test batting capitulations are going to put on a masterclass today. We won’t even need cloudy skies and damp conditions; any pitch, any weather and we’re good. Australia 1st innings lead 45.
