Having said that, plenty of fat, alcoholic ex cricketers around - many of them were still picked in the test team....;-)
*sniffs air*....I smell....something....fear.
Defeat I can live with, would really like a good competitive series that's still live for the last 2 tests. Not confident though; I shall listen to the first 30 mins or so just to get a feel for how we've started *remembers Slater, Harmison etc*

I am unreasonably excited... and it's late night at work, so I won't be home until after 2100... which means by the time I've eaten and digested, I can settle down for the first session.
I usually hate late night at work, but this is special

Bairstow looks a good value bet there, Root is going to be chewed up and spat out by this tour, Chef looks out of nick and Ali has been injured for much of the build up so may not hit his straps until 3-4 innings.
And, of course the other 3 are Mulan, Stonefeet and 'Uncon' Vince. With Ballance waiting in the wings....
The 2-2 is, in Sir Humphrey speak, 'courageous'.
