I’m sure it wasn’t Simbil, but, being a sensitive soul, if that was a little dig at me, let me assure you that I eat out about twice a week plus at least three different cafes, follow the rules and haven’t had so much as a sniffle all year. As I am retired and unsociable my general exposure is much less than those who work or have children and extended families.

Tim, the scottish government were probably correct to be cautious with Edinburghs tier reduction. Its the inabulity to deal with lanarkshire and the west of scotland that's the issue.

Sturgeon is a good communicator though so it appears she is doing well. The only measure though is tat she is not as bad as boris

I wish I hadn't bothered buying the fireworks for Thursday night now....

I do wonder what happens to my friend who's currently living away from the marital home at the moment, in another household. Is he allowed to go home at some point to see his children?

All that I hope is that Sturgeon doesn't 'fold' and instead gives the five level strategy a try.

It's such a tough time for people, no need to apologise to me at all non-runner - all I see here is lots of lovely Fetchies trying to do their best in these grim times.

My Cafe experience was OK today.

My parents came to oursfirst to view the newly finished patio. Not sure if that broke a law or not but it felt safe.

On arrival at the cafe the 2 families at our table showed no signs of finishing up and we had to stand outside waiting in Storm Aidan.

Once in and seated I was beside my daughter and so fine, but my son was pretty close to my dad and my wife to my mum. Tables were well spaced but lots of comonh and goings for takeways along with a lot of dodgy mask non compliance or half hearted efforts.

No details for test and trace were taken.

Pretty sure it was a better option to have my parents in my house, but hey what do I know.

I'd suggest not, as in a different household.
