Evidence of differences in taste here: good, good. Origins of the word 'comedy' are uncertain: 'festival singing'; 'village singing'.
No matter: no word will be heard against David Nobbs, author of the Reginald Perrin books and surreal tv series. Marlborough School & St John's, Cambridge, he wrote for every 1st Division British comedian...which is where this started.

Is fucking Butterflies in?
Or can we eliminate it on the ground it was so far from funny that it failed the 'COM' bit of Sitcom?

Where can I vote to have the perpetrators of Mrs Brown's Boys put up against a wall and shot? (This on the basis of only ever seeing the last 30 seconds or so of the programme when I was expecting the news to be on.) Are we allowed to have an opinion on programmes we've never seen?

Oh Dr Beeching!
Butterflies was really odd as much as anything. At least the Liver Birds had women in it, Bread was totally Maudlin, but it was scouse, and is strongly related to Mrs Brown's Boys.
Ho di Ho!
Does Allo Allo divide opinion?
Some Mother's Do Have 'em, that's divisive, I hope.
What's that WWII concert party thing called?
