Wish I was able to be at this, but am hundreds of miles away...

Good luck to all and have fun tomorrow! It'll be brilliant, I've no doubt. :-)

Beachrunner - big thanks to you and presumably one or two others for making this happen. I am one of many who has grumbled in the past about how Bristol really ought to have one and now it's here. I'll be aiming to get along in the morning to lend some support. Quads still complaining after VLM, but 5k should be achievable, as long as you haven't made the hills too steep!

Thanks for your help and kind wishes VC. See you at parkrun soon. And thanks also ♪ ♫ ♪ Synge ♪ ♫ ♪. This has been a long time in the making and it's been a team effort. We're very excited that Bristol now has a parkrun. We've done what we can with the hills, but this is Bristol! See you, and RichHL's chum (?), tomorrow.

Thanks Mr K. Hope to see you again soon. Flat is something we don't do too much of in Bristol, but the Bridge Inn (http://www.bristolandwestac.org/bridge-inn-5k) and Towpath (http://www.greatwesternrunners.org.uk) races should fit the bill.

Well parkrun is finally underway in Bristol. There were 120 runners at the inaugural run last Saturday. The first person home recorded a superb time of 18:49. The sun shone, the technology worked and the pictures on the website tell you everything you need to know (http://www.parkrun.org.uk/ashton-court/home). Thanks to everyone who took part as runners, volunteers and spectators. We look forward to seeing more Fetchies in the coming weeks.
