Hope it goes ahead - Switzerland have cancelled all public events of 1000+ people. Time you add Mara, Half, funrun, volunteers plus spectators then probably over 2000...........
Has to be a possibility unfortunately, fingers crossed things don't escalate

It does look like record numbers this year.
I still haven't entered and currently have my leg up with a heat pack on it. No improvement over the last week, possibly slightly worse tbh  I think the worst bit is having no pain so it doesn't seem too bad which is a false thought.

I'd better think seriously about entering very soon if I'm going to. My injury is improving and I hope to resume running next week, I may even try parkrun Saturday.

Worth entering. If they decide to ban events over 1000 over here, Boston could always cancel the shorter races and keep the marathon on with a 1000

Manchester backup for me
Perhaps a bit pessimistic in light of govt statements since I entered but it’s not a huge premium for insurance after a whole winter of training. Also faced with possible cancellation of a subsequent trip abroad and wanted to make sure I have something to look forward to!

I'm also signed up as a back up to manchester. Matt hancock has mentioned events above 5000 being banned like in France in one interview, so so then boston would be fine. I also read when signing up that until the 4th april you can withdraw and get a refund, so by then should knowing Manchester is happening on the 5th.

Sounds like sensible planning to have a backup
Boston is a really good event as well.
Retford half on Sunday should be a good indicator of my fitness level
