Oh. So no April book? Okay. Please please can the May choosinator pick something cheerful?

If we've got another month I'll have a look for CW when I go to the library tomorrow. I'm going to make an exception for this book in that if I find it too depressing or disturbing I'm going to abandon it before I finish it.
I finished Station Eleven and really loved it. It got me thinking about books that have books in them. I wanted to be able to read the graphic novel in it the way I wanted to read the story inside The Blind Assassin.

Cheers LN. I haven't had the evangelical zeal to get people to read a book for many years. I've got it with Station Eleven though.
Everyone should read it. Because survival is insufficient.

I'm sure it's because you raved about it that I gave it a try, GregP. So thanks for that

I have Station Eleven down as my 2014 book in my Book-a-year-since-birth challenge
wrt long books, I think it would be a shame to "ban" them entirely from the group a Goodreads group I'm in has a "Quarterly Long Read" that runs in parallel with the monthly reads - would that be a possibility? i.e. have a second choosinator for July, Sept, Jan and April?
