I'm halfway through chapter 2 (it's only got 5). Cautious enjoyment so far, but some fairly grim stuff. (Clue in the title really!)

I read "The Virgin Suicides" when it came out, which is a good thing as I've only recently got on to "The New Confessions". Simultaneously lagging well behind and also well ahead of the game.

I'm also waiting for this month's book from the library. I don't mind waiting a bit longer as it will give me more time to finish my current books.
