Bone conduction headphones: could they settle the argument about listening to music during races?

I have invested in set of these headphones. Initial impression is pretty good. Certainly very comfy, and you can hear your surroundings well even when it's turned up pretty loud.

Tiggia - unfortunately I don't they are suitable for swimming as they require a very small clip-on battery pack which doesn't look especially watertight and would presumably be knackered if submerged. :(

I can't see the point. I listen to music to drown out the world. Plus all music should be listened to at 10, or 11 if Spinal Tap

The original bone conduction phones were the swiMP3, designed for, well you've probably guessed that. First read about them three years ago. boingboing.net

I'd say about 1/3 of people in the Alloa HM today were wearing headphones.
