Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

We went to the premiere yes. After the concert we met Richard who was charming and the composer too. At the interval we were interviewed live by BBC Radio Cumbria (iirc). Stef was great; I wasn’t muppet

Here's a new BGR legend for you: Ken Taylor has just become the first Mv70 to complete. His time was 22.18 which I reckon is pretty amazing.

Bobs and I, by contrast, finally cracked the Cumbrian Traverse today, completely unsupported and in baking hot conditions, finishing time 11.18.

Maybe I'm not too old for a bg attempt yet!

I like the look of the cumbrian traverse. Is there any way of getting to the start with public transport?

That's really impressive! I assume Mr Taylor has a very fine fell-running pedigree?

Nice one NE :)

That's right RH, an excellent runner. Along with Ben Grant he's one of the best fell runners of his age category. Also a cancer survivor and had his entire stomach removed in 2009.
