My basic ruby clone of the PHP scripts is now hosted on GitHub at github.com

I plan to evolve this as the API evolves and make it a gem for use in other projects.

What else would you like to see?

(And is a 'gem' a ruby term? I'm guessing yes)

Nice one Fetch. I'm interested in using this in the future, although at the moment I'm pretty tied up with building a brand new CMS platform (in C# .NET) for my company! Perhaps if I get a chance, could do an example in .NET as well.

If you get a chance to rework the simple example, that'd be great - it's one step closer for whoever comes along next. Thanks dude.

Yup, gem is a ruby term. Essentially a reusable library.

One thing that I think would be good is a method to obtain the authenticating user's own uid.

It might be an idea to include the authenticating user's own "Athlete" information in the response with the access_token in much the same way strava does (http://strava.github.io/api/v3/oauth/#post-token)

BFC - that's the next big step I think (besides adding other methods to the list).

NF - if you can avoid say 11am-2pm, and 7pm-11pm (just for now), give it a try with a small batch from your file list.

Hi Lord Fetch!

I've been trying to upload data using cURL from the command line but not having any luck. Does the server only accept 'Content-Type: application/json' by any chance?

Also, from the documentation page, are you sure that gzip then URL encode is correct? Maybe gzip then Base64?

Nope - ignore that last message - I've just checked with the example PHP code. Grrr, I've got more work to do now!
