Work lunchtime, 8 of us played "Night of the Ninja" - Very simple to pick up and easy to have a couple of quick games. Divided into 2 teams, the subtlety is that you don't know who is on what team. Cards allow you amongst other things to find outwho is on what team, who are teh best ninjas and to assassinate your opponents. To win ensure the best ninjas in your team survive. A game for all levels and great if you want a quick game for a larger group

Sounds like a variation on Werewolf?

We’re utterly hooked on Castles of Burgundy at the moment. I have owned it for years and it has sat on the shelf of shame for far too long. It’s easy to see why it is so highly ranked on BGG.

I played Space Hulk last night for the first time.
Lovely game but its OOP and prices are silly.
Rumours of a reprint in the making so I'll just wait maybe.

In other news, there's an outside chance of my Foundations of Rome arriving from kickstarter before Chritsmas. fingers crossed.

Just been away for a weekend playing Boardgames. We played:
Dwellings of Everdell
Heat
The Thing (7 players was great!)
After Us
Earth
One Night Ultimate Werewolf
Dune Imperium (My favourite of them all)

We needed more time!

In the meantime we have played Castles of Burgundy 18 times in November!

I've been playing Ticket to Ride, Northern Lights edition, for a few days now. It's going down well, except that it takes a while to get used to the town names around the Gulf of Bothnia. Better than the earlier Nordic edition. Games take 45 mins or a bit more.
