Heat shares some mechanisms with Flamme Rouge, but is a far better game. If you love Flamme Rouge, get somewhere (boardgame cafe?) and try Heat. Then good luck trying to find a copy. |

I hadn't picked up on Heat: Pedal to the Metal, but I can see it's a long way ahead of the next entry on the list of Spiel 22 releases: boardgamegeek.com Some very positive reviews too. As Stander suggests, it's hard to find right now. Reprints should ensure that it is in plentiful supply later in the year. |

We have been playing it a lot over the Christmas period. I expect my son and I to work our way through the campaign / Season mode in due course. |

We played Cranium with friends on Hogmanay. Long time no see It was a great inclusive game for age range 7 - 53, two smalls, two teens and 4 adults. Some out-dated cultural references, but nothing as bad as Trivial Pursuit! |

(This post is spoiler free) Oh, my sweet Jesus!!!!! A friend and I played scenario 1 of Undaunted Stalingrad last night. It's the first real campaign style game I've owned or played. Most of the game is hidden units/information/map that you either don't get to see (because it's nation specific) or because you add it to the game later on. The two of us were like little kids at christmas ripping off the presents. with the added benefit/fustration of there being very many more presents still to be unwrapped. Without giving awat specifics, the method of how the extra content is added is fantastic. The pair of us are really stoked about this game and I now have permission from the boss that I can set aside Monday evenings for my mate and I to carry on the campaign. If we only manage one scenario an evening (not sure we could fit two in based on last night), this then takes care of my next 14 weeks! |

We have been managing 2 or 3 scenarios every Monday so far, so probably only about 5 or 6 Mondays needed. However, we have already agreed to swap sides and redo the entire campaign when we have finished this first run through. Loving my Monday evenings currently. |

I have been intermittently continuing in trying to paint my growing number of armies for the A song of Ice and Fire game. My latest piece. Camera/light isn't that great (it looks better in person) but it is supposed to to look dark and foreboding and it kinda does that. |
